Student Debt Crisis Center (SDCC) – Works directly with borrowers to help them navigate the loan repayment system

For students with disabilities

College Autism Network – Connects those engaged in efforts to improve outcomes for postsecondary students with autism
HBCU Disability Consortium – Runs email listserv for Historically Black Colleges and Universities’ disability services providers and does research with students and HBCU professionals
National Center for College Students with Disabilities – Only federally-funded national center in the U.S. for college and graduate students
DREAM – Disability Rights, Education, Activism and Mentoring – Advocates for student rights, increased accessibility, social and policy change, and aims to provide support and mentorship to local campus disability groups and individual students

College Parent Insiders | Facebook – Online community for parents and families of college students to share questions, experiences and stories with other parents
College Parent Support Community | Facebook – A safe place for parents of college students to share ways to support children through the stresses of preparing to go to college and to life on a college campus
Collegiate Parent – A guide for parents of college students that partners with admission, orientation and parent program offices

Southern California College Access Network – Runs programs like Let’s Go to College CA (Let’s Go), a virtual community for students by students who are navigating higher education
Center for First-generation Student Success – Evidence-based practices, professional development, and knowledge creation for the higher education community to advance the success of first-generation students
Equity - Foundation CCC – Provides quality resources, educational programs, and training for community colleges and the students that they serve, especially those who have been historically underrepresented
Resource Center – Race and Ethnicity in Higher Education – Rich portfolio of work on diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education including samples of blog series, data, programs and initiatives, reports, and tools

Educational policy organizations

The Education Trust – Seeks to influence policy in California, identifies and analyzes data related to inequities, works with higher education institutions to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies intended to increase access and supports for students of color and low-income students
Rise – Trains and hires community college and university students to organize campaigns focused on eliminating tuition and fees, expanding financial aid and ending student hunger and homelessness, and getting out the vote

Exceptional on-campus and university organizations

UC Student Association – Advocates on behalf of current and future students for the accessibility, affordability, and quality of the University of California system
UC Berkeley Student Advocate – Student-run office that assists students with issues regarding the University and advocates for changes in University policy that prioritize and protect students’ rights and general welfare
Indiana University Student Affairs – Student Advocates are retired IU faculty and staff members who volunteer their time and expertise to assist students in resolving academic, financial, and conduct problems
